The morphology of the Indian tiger which is India’s national animal is truly grand and impressive indeed. In fact, there are not two Indian tigers with their dark stripes arranged in the same way but yet they make up a uniquely identifiable pattern such as fingerprints in humans. They are unique and top of the food chain and are solitary hunters, unlike other apex land predators. This illustration is inspired by the strength, beauty and uniqueness and their lush serene habitat they thrive in, much like the Indian culture and heritage which is also known for its strength, beauty, and uniqueness in its own way.

I generally make rough pencil sketches of the main subject like the ones above before they are digitally enhanced after which I add other elements like flowers, colorful motifs, leaves etc…as in the case of this illustration, directly using my Wacom pen tab.
